I love the lacy top over the tee. Wish that was a look that I could pull off. Fantastic job on the knitting. It's super cute on you!

Thanks for the positive comments!  I could totally whip up a pattern for this but it would probably be in my size 34"? Does that even work for anyone?

But for those who do not need a guide. I used the Horseshoe pattern from B. Walker's, A Treasury of Knitting Patterns.  The cable is also from the same treasury and is called Plait Cable.  Actually, any lace and cable combo you like would work.  The cable panel is 13 stitches wide and the lace pattern is 10. I used 4 cables and 3 lace patterns and decided to center the lace because I thought that was the more dramatic series.

Thanks again!

Gorgeous! And it has a really nice fit. I wish I could design something like that...

I would love a pattern! I'm about the same size as you are so that works for me. I wonder if it's any difficult though... I'm not really a beginner, I mean I can do lace and cable, but haven't made my first sweater yet and don't think I can read charts, so... not sure where that fits me lol

I'm the same size and so, I would love to have the pattern. It would work out great for me.  Grin
That is, if you write the pattern out in full.
As I don't have those books that you mentioned. It would be nice if when you write out the pattern, that your lace and cables are written into the pattern. (in detail, step-by-step)
And again, what a gorgeous tank!!!   Cheesy
