I think we should do a star Book-a long.  I want to do a big one for my 24 day trip to New Zealand.

(To The Tune of "The Llama Song")Here's a needle, there's a needle, and some yarn between the needles, cast on, knit, purl, always knitting, knitty, knitty, purl.

Proud new owner of a Baby Lock 400!  Any advice for the newbie? PM

Wow, what a great thread!

Kargrrl- thank you so much for taking the time to make such an awesome, easy to follow tutorial!

epsilon- what a great idea about using office cube notebooks- i've had one sitting around of years that i never use, this will be a great way to utilize it.

jrain- using these for christmas gifts is an awesome idea- my two close friends and I still haven't exchanged gifts, and these will be great additions to what I'm already getting them.  (I know, it's March- I'm just lucky they're all as lazy and laid back as I am.)

LuxLisbon- the fabric covers is a great idea, there are just so many ways to be creative with these!

I'm totally looking forward to making some of these!  Thanks again for all of the great ideas!

My crafting buddies and I made several of these today. We used old book text for some of the pages and used sheet music for others. The sheet music pages really turned out neat! Covered the covers with Christmas-themed scrapbook paper and will use the books as ornaments on the trees.
Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for posting this tutorial! I made my first last night and it came out beautifully. Also, I like that it doubles as an ornament in case the recipient doesn't want to write in it. I'm even getting requests to make more! Thanks again.
