I have been wanting to learn to quilt for ages.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE multicolor patchwork squares. Alas, I don't have such an awe-inspiring scrap collection.  It will take years for my stash to be scrap-worthy of such an quilt-terrific undertaking.

This is a very inspiring piece of art, yes art - you have given birth to.  Your description was so funny I almost shot peas out of my nose for laughing.  (and I wasn't even eating peas at the time)  We girls are entitled to every last shred of melodrama we can muster, especially after such a laborious and unappreciated project.  Keep some smelling salts nearby and swoon away, girlfriend.  You've earned it!

That's absolutely gorgeous! The product of your work and frustration is met with dropped jaws of awe.

This is a beautiful quilt! The first thing I thought of when I saw the photo was that it looked like a Klimpt painting, please visit these links to see what I mean. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Gustav_Klimt_016.jpg.

Absolutely amazing. I must have a celebratory beer in your honor. I must make one.
I suppose it sould help that your crafting style sounds remarkably similar to my own! I should be finished in about six months!  Wink

This is sooooo awesome.  I bet $10 Urban Outfitters will be selling their own version (nowhere near as cool, obviously) of this next year.  If someone made me this I would plotz.

Who are these philistines you allow to visit you? Your quilt top it stunningly gorgeous in and of itself. More so when you consider its goal of using up your scrap pile.

Bravo!
