I have really enjoyed following your posts on this fabulous quilt from sketch to reality! The top is totally wild and brilliant.

Seriously, if people come over to your house and don't praise its extreme wonderfulness, you really need to stop inviting them over--who are these people?

It's a drag to have to wait and get someone else to quilt it, but I can related to the fear of trying to machine-quilt something that size---I've had good luck straight line machine quilting crib-size quilts, using low loft cotton batting, but the bigger pieces, I hesitate---although seeing your great work is inspiring me to take on a challenge myself!

But for an alternative, have you thought about tying it as a comforter? Maybe not quite as nice a quilting, but it would get it into actual service faster...Or maybe you could use it as a duvet cover?

But anyway, WOW what a neat thing you have made!

I'm doing something similar with crocheted granny squares, only it's not with scraps, and I'm following a magazine pattern... I actually purchased 22 warring colours of yarn to slave together for eternity...

Hm, so not that similar at all.
Still though, yours is beautiful!!
