"Stressed" is "desserts" spelled backwards.

That's just awesome!
Good for you - braving the machine like that. I don't have the guts to graduate to machine sewing just yet...

I'm having trouble with scale. I can't tell if it's on a bed in a small room, and is a regular sized quilt, or if it's in a large raised room & is a auto dealership flag sized quilt.

Yeah, it's a confusing picture. That bed is about 6/7 feet square. Here's a picture of the husband at full stretch holding up one half of it when it was still 'in progress' that might make more sense...

It reminds me of a Gustav Klimt painting so it's certainly not crappy. Nice work.

Great Job. The first time I saw a quilt like this I have been dying to make one. I have been collecting fabric scraps, I have only had the desire to make a quilt when I saw the quilts of Gee's Bend and Nancy Crow WOW. I am very impressed at you. Especially since it is only your second quilt. It is just so beautiful! I love all of the colors and fabrics! Don't let anyone steal it, by, um, accidence. Smiley Thanks for the added inspiration!

That's really nice =)
Like you I use an old Kenmore (mines about 20 years old now ) but I found that I can quilt something as large as queen size on it pretty easy if I quilt in the ditch and use low loft batting . With the low loft batting you don't have to deal with so much bulk and I just roll up the parts I am not working on and pin them into a roll with safety pins .
Takes a bit of effort but I have no one around me that could quilt mine professionally. Log cabin and strip patterns are pretty easy to quilt up this way.
