What a great idea! Did you invent the pattern or find it online?

I am in love with this blanket, like I've never been in love with a blanket before.

I think it has a strange kind of charm that only clashing colours can achieve. I have a bag full of scraps, and yep, you guessed it, I think I'll have ago at a scrappy quilt myself! Grin

Oh, it's so pretty.  Smiley Of course, I also *love* scrappy quilts, especially when they're actual scrapbag quilts versus buying "scraps". I guess this might have come before the "Babette" afghan? The styles are very similar.
Hopefully you've had this top quilted and finished by now--I know it's easy to put them aside, but they're so much better when finished!

I still absolutely love this and wish I could do something like it. Did you get it quilted yet? if not, what kind of encouragement do you need? There is a woman on this board somewhere who does AMAZING quilting. Look for the egypt quilt. She did the quilting. Talk to her. I bet you two could work out an amazing quilting stitch pattern.

CarlaFibers....check out her work. I bet if you talk to her, she could do something amazing with this. I hope I'm not overstepping by suggesting her, but I'll tell you, with all the work you put into this, she is pretty amazing from what I have seen.

It is a fact that Kenmore machines are the sewing machines of the devil.

Having said that, look at what it helped you make! Holy crap, I love it just as much as the other 29 message boards full of people do! Seriously, it is a work of art. I think you should hand quilt it. Then, in 13 years, you will have a gorgeous, finished, quilt.

Okay, maybe get a professional to do it with a long arm machine.
But seriously, think of hand quilting it.
