Amazing!!! You could tie it insead of quilting, then you do not have to wait forever. If you backed it with polar fleece, you would not have to "fill" it. You just use yarn and tie a knot every few inches

YES! I do this all the time. It looks great on 'scrap' quilts whether they are actually scraps or bought for the purpose.
If you have enough, you can fold the fleece backing up and over the front to make a kinda self- binding.

That is wonderful-any one who thinks it is a monstrosity obviously is not a quilter/quilt lover. And you can tell them I think it is awesome and respect the amount of energy that went into it.

What a great idea! Did you invent the pattern or find it online?

I think it has a strange kind of charm that only clashing colours can achieve. I have a bag full of scraps, and yep, you guessed it, I think I'll have ago at a scrappy quilt myself! Grin

Oh, it's so pretty.  Smiley Of course, I also *love* scrappy quilts, especially when they're actual scrapbag quilts versus buying "scraps". I guess this might have come before the "Babette" afghan? The styles are very similar.
Hopefully you've had this top quilted and finished by now--I know it's easy to put them aside, but they're so much better when finished!
