Rowan Nelly Hat (aka Machu Picchu Hat)

I just made the Rowan Nelly hat in Rowan Big Wool in Cassis and Pip (pic to follow soon). I swatched it BUT the finished project is huge!!!!!   Fortunately, I knit the hat to keep my ears warm on night time rides on the ol' cruiser......so the fact that it has definite rastafarian hat characteristics is ok. 

However, Mr. Boo wants the hat now too.  So I am going to make it with Lion Thick and Quick and use size 15s instead of the 19s.

Do you think that will work?

It should work, I have made a ton using lion thick and quick on size 15's.  Most of the people that I knit hats for want the big hats because of their dreads or braids, I have made alot using sirdar biggy (or whatever it is called), it is really soft and spongy, for those I normally use a 17.
