I am the luckiest person in this swap! I got the best package ever!!!! Grin Grin Grin This is going to be a really long post, but I'm saving the best item for last, so be sure to read all the way to the bottom.

Amazing doesn't begin to describe the things that KarenLouiseM sent me. First of all, it all came in a giant box, decorated on the front.

I started unpacking it and I felt like a kid on my birthday --

-- complete with Halloween/Birthday crown and wand! (My birthday is Oct 30th.) I love my new crown. I'm now the Queen of Halloween. That's what the crown says.Smiley

I also got the most awesome double sided banner ever.

One side says Happy Birthday and the other says Happy Halloween. I like it so much I think we might keep it up all year round.

As if that wasn't enough, I got two beautiful necklaces and a pin.

She also made me four cool treat bags/door hangers. (You can see the stickers of my favorite postcard she included sticking out of the top corner.)

My partner knew that I love to throw Halloween parties, so she made me some great serving dishes and decorations for the table.

"Specially" labeled ramekins.

Jars of Halloween "spices".

And anatomically awesome Halloween candy -- brains, bones and gooey insides. And some "poisonous" test tubes!

You thought that was everything, didn't you? But no. There's much more. She made me a bobble-y pumpkin ghost that I love!

And a really cool pumpkin tin with a wonderful felt appliqu on it.

And a sew-your-own doorhanging witch that I'm going to have so much fun making and hanging up!

Finally, the masterpiece...
Carefully hidden inside an innocuous looking exterior...

is a book entitled Mischief. (Where did you manage to find that book?!?)

BUT it's not just any book of mischief it's a

... phenomenal altered book full of Halloween recipes!

Every page is unbelievable. I just took a couple shots at random since I can't even begin to decide what my favorites are.

(KarenLouiseM, if there are any pages you particularly want me to post, just let me know.)

She also sent me a mold for making gelatin eyeballs. And just in case I needed a sample of the recipes, she sent me some pumpkin bread!

Whew - I was starting to wonder if that package was EVER going to arrive!  And I'm so glad it all seems to be intact.  I was kind of worried about that.

It was SO much fun to craft for this swap.  I loved making everything.

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

I like the doily-witch-- her tiny mask she's holding is cute!

The Mischief book is pretty sweet.  Is the whole interior decorated like that?

Thanks! It was a little bit difficult to get it into the right shape, but it worked out eventually. Smiley

Yep, every page is covered with recipes and decorated like that. The whole thing is amazing. There are even some extra pockets with blank recipe cards for me to add things. And one page even has a little skeleton toy attached. Smiley

Eirle, that crochet witch is something to give us all hope for crocheted holiday crafts. It's really cool! I had only thought they came in the form of those crappy "fridgies" and had given up.
