Thank you all very much!

Yup, I freehanded it and I used 'Encre Pigment Ink Zig Textile Markers' (I think, I'm not a fabric pen expert) which are double-ended, one with a big nib and the other with a finer nib. I got them from my local art shop. They are pretty expensive (2 quid a pop) but worth it as I reckon they'll last me a good while.
I heat sealed them by just ironing over it for a few minutes and it's sealed well as my mate has washed the t-shirt with no problems.

I would submit it to Threadless but I'm pretty such it has to be a digitally-designed image and I'm hopeless with Photoshop...

I quite like the origami idea so I might try a few more shirts with various origami animals on. Any thoughts?

it is gorgeous and too bad about threadless only using digital submissions as i'm sure people would love your work. i also draw and now must have these fabric pens! you are really talented. you should sell these! do you have an etsy store?

It's lovely.  I particularly like the crane.  I think she'll love it!
