These are great!  This is a "village" I can get behind.  I think it definitely has a Gorey vibe.

Thank you, I was going for a "Gorey" vibe.
I love cemeteries, there are so many wonderful statues and usually great trees and climbing vines.

Me too!  I'm not at all gothic or any kind of morbid, but I just love graveyards!  I try to visit them whenever I'm in foreign countries, too.  It's a shame that people vandalize them so much so that they usually have fences around them these days.

I was actually questioned by a police office once while I was taking photos in a cemetery in Memphis.  He said people had been stealing the statues.  Unfortunately there were also numerous broken statues like this one:

One of the tombstones in this set is my interpretation of this stone before it was broken.

That is so disheartening. I'm in the Pacific NW so we our grave yards are less ornate/old and the bad stuff is usually graffitti, or tipping/breaking, but not stealing (at least not that I've heard).  I bet people sell those statues and the people in whose garden and house they now reside have no idea they've been stolen from graves. Ugh.

Oh!  Great photo!

I'm not happy, I'm cheerful. There's a difference.

I tried a couple of different ones and didn't like the effect and I was also worried that it would make them more flamable, so no they are not sealed.

I actually got married in 2005, we were married by a judge, so no dress.  At the reception we had a huge party and we were skeletons.

I did have a hot pink veil and a vinyl skirt with hot pink trim Grin
