muslin tote bag

I made this tote bag out of muslin-wrapped rope.  It was a lot of fun to make.

It's very simple. But I really like that tote alot!

I like it a lot, I like the idea, and it turned out great. I also like the color, and the whole feel of it, very sort of earthy.

I was wondering what kind of material it was, I've never seen linen wrapped rope, very cool. It's got great texture and I love the ribbon detail.

what a cool idea/technique...i've seen it done for making bowls, but never a purse! i really like how it turned out...it's very summery!
