I've had this jaw bone for a while now and I wanted to turn it into... something.

I know it isn't everyone's thing - but I do appreciate y'all looking and responding!

The text is lorem ipsum - placeholder text used by layout artists. I used 15-20 year old transfer sheets that I got from a friend who used to work in the business. They are a bit brittle, but still work pretty perfectly. The glass beads and key are things I had on-hand and added after I had used silver wire to create a couple of hanging points on the jaw bone. The jaw bone, as near as I can tell, is from a fox.

I really like that.  I like the size, I like the asymmetry, I like the lorem ipsum, and I like the placement on your neck.  Cool!

I think this piece is wonderful. I just love how it seems so . . . I guess the word I am looking for is complete.  It is not too busy and not too dull. I just love the the beads and key addition and the Lorem Ipsum just adds a perfect artistic balance to the whole thing. The whole piece hangs beautifully on you as well.

I never would of thought of doing such a thing with a jaw bone. I just love it! Great job.

Wow. This seems like "more art less craft" to me- a very original and sculptural piece! Do you wear it?

I'm usually more inclined to items with very good symmetry but I love this....hard to explain but it is very eye-catching.  It is very primitive but also elegant in an off-beat sort of way.  I don't know if that makes any sense...this seems more of a feminine piece but I would wear it, probably without the key charm and beads.

Beautiful! Balancing somewhere in the middle of art and jewelry I'd say. Both in one piece - score! Smiley

Love it -- it's, like, from the mouths of beasts. I'm also a big fan of lorem ipsum (been in publishing for ages). You know people are going to ask what it says!

Did you seal it at all? I'd be worried about the transfers rubbing off.

This is way, way beyond cool...definitely, as suggested more art less craft in this...
