Hello everyone, I have a problem I hope you guys can help with.

Every year the Conley clan gets together (this happens usually on Turkey Day) and does a Secret Santa type thing. Names are in a hat, you pull one, and that is the only family member you have to buy a gift for (excepting the kiddies). Thus money is saved and everyone gets a gift.
BUT- this year money is super tight so I decided to make the gift(s) for my Giftee.
Now, I'm going to knit a small whatever pouch for him with his name on it, but I decided that wasn't enough and he needs something else. So I went to the store and found this fabric which is perfect for him (in fact I think he has pj pants with this design).

The issue is that the fabric is 45inx26in- What can I do with it?
Any ideas would make my crafting day.

what about using that fabric for the front, and some other fabric for the back ,and make a quilt like blanket?

hmmm... well, it's too small to make a cover by itsself but you could
a) make a quilt with squaress of that fabric and some black and orange fabric
b) make a little wall quilt with it (like sew a backing on it and applique an animal or somthing on it)
c)make a cushion
d)make a little stuffed animal out of it
e)make something tailored to whatever hobbies he has (uhhh, OK, this one's hard, um, like if he's into sewing you could make him a pincusion)
yeah
OK, well, I hope those give you some ideas!

CD case, book cover, travel (hold razor & stuff) bag, ipod case, cell case, lap top case any of these could be lined with black & just use the uber cool flames for the front or main part of the item.
Use it for the colar & a band around the  sleves or cuffs of a black or demin shirt.

OK, I had some omre ideas
What if you made a really cool HAT?  You could make just a simple basic hat, but make it with fleece inside and the cool flame fabric outside.
Or what about a flame chrismtas stocking?

I would buy a cheap black worker shirt (like this: http://www.royal-record.de/covers/5100100.jpg) and them cut out 2 stripes of fabric on the front, and replace them with the cool flaming fabric! Tadaaa, cheap rockabilly!

I decided to make a stocking, so when my giftee moves out from his parents' house he can have his own stocking at his place.

The top looks a little small, but rest assured it isn't. I lined the inside of the stocking with duck cloth so no matter what Santa gives him inside it won't rip the uber cool flames fabric, so it makes the top look teeny.

In other news, before I sewed this my super ultimate very cool friends all chipped in together and bought me a new sewing machine- which rocks!! I don't have to sew on my ghetto one anymore with a lollipop stick holding up my thread spool. To show them my thanks, from the remnants of the stocking fabric I made each of them little stockings of their own that I'm going to fill with cookies and candies and such.

I'm going to hang their stockings on my banister with little tags of their names.

Thanks again for all the cool ideas you guys gave me!
