I had to try my hand at painting shoes too and found it a lot of fun.  When I wear them out I love to see people take second looks when they notice them.  Must do more!

I just used my acrylic paints and then I sealed them with a flexible varathane.  They seem to be holding up pretty good and only suffer the normal wear shoes would.

I must remember to paint the shoes I bought ages ago, they have been waiting for me to get around to doing it and I just hope they end up as gorgeous as yours!

The shoes are just those plain white cheap canvas ones you find in department stores and the varathane I purchased at Michaels...it is Grumbacher professinoal quality Matte Finish.  Hope that helps and thanks for all the positive responses!!!
