Hallo, I am sort of new to felting and am sort of self taught. I made these balls of multi coloured felt and then cut them in half. Fortunately some of the balls were misshapen and when cut in half formed these lovely butterfly shapes which I have enhanced with antennae and a beaded body. Oh yeah they have a pin on the back so you can wear them as a brooch too.

Your butterflies are absolutely lovely, such a wonderful mistake that some of the balls weren't quite spherical  Cheesy

There's probably something deeply wrong about using superglue in bed, but I don't care 'cause I'm a rebel.

This is exactly what I was about to say!  It was a very happy accident indeed: those butterflies are gorgeous!

So beautiful!  Some of the most amazing and beautiful projects begin one way, and evolve into something else. Your butterflies are a perfect example of what can happen when things don't go exactly according to plan, but creativity takes over and reinvents the form!

Your butterflies make me smile. Thanks for sharing them!

I love the freeform to these!  It's always exciting when something just sort of comes out of nowhere.  Beautiful work!

Thanks to all of you for your nice comments, i love that these butterflies were an accident and yet turned out so lovely...each one unique but I must admit i have about 30 and don't know what to do with them.................
I could only think of putting some into one of those framed box things so it looks like a real display of butterflys as seen in museums and i have given 2 away as part of a birthday gift but the reception they received was not big and has put me off giving them as gifts.

Anybody got any ideas........ Huh Huh
