I was kniffty knitting up a storm.  I never thought I could learn with needles.  It was a craft that always just mystified me.  But my first swap partner thought differently.  She sent me some needles and my fav color yarn! ACK!  Now I HAD to learn!!!!!!

After frogging it (look I even know a knitty word!) at least half a dozen times....

I know its not much.  But its getting easier.  And I am thinking hard about what to make for my first REAL project on needles.  Something for me...as it should be....with my beautiful aqua colored yarn.

ETA: UPDATE

I missed a stitch and had to frog it.  in the future how can i save it.  I can just see me being 90% done with my first sweater and miss a stitch like this!
ACK!

If you drop a stitch, you can pull it up the ladders (those are the yarn bars where it should be). There's some info here on Fixing mistakes. If you just forgot to knit one, you can use the same method, only it would just be on one row. In the photo, you could still bring the dropped stitch up, move your stitches so they're on both needle and the spot where the new stitch would be should be at the end of a needle. Then just bring up the stitch, loosen the yarn a bit to fit and you're good to go on.

I drop stitches all the time and I've been knitting since I was a little one. Just keep a crochet hook handy and you'd be good to go.

Get thee Stitch & Bitch!  Seriously, there's a whole section in there about how to fix your screw ups, including runs like that one.  It is fabulous.

Congrats on learning. =>

Congrats on learning.  Dropped stitches happen to any knitter.
