Here are two necklaces I made during the short amount of time I have after the kids go to sleep and before I do.  Each necklace has two slides, eye pins (one for hanging and one or more for beads), two pieces of background paper ( to sandwich the eyepins between), pictures, and metal tape.
TIP:  silver is the cheapest, for some reason a small roll of copper tape is 7 bucks!  Shocked crazy.
The faery necklace has a water color background and I drew the butterfly and the faery.  Grin

My mother-in-law got me some from a hobby store.  I want to get a big box, but I haven't had a chance to go by the college supply store.

I don't know if I'm doing some (Un)intentional advertising, but I think I saw either this or something like it on Crafty Chica (I know you're a Craftster member, Kathy!!!).

so that's just metal tape on the sides? It looks cool. I saw on a show this weekend where they did those but with what they called a "faux soddering" technique. It involved dipping it into some kind of melted paint or something, they really didn't go into it, but tape sounds way easier!

I don't know where you get silver tape, but you can get copper  tape at a stained glass supply store. You could then either solder it or leave it copper for a different effect.
