a variation on some of the card purses i've seen. it was really not too hard, just time consuming. the handles are a bit weak, but not bad. made of cards stuck to duct tape & then coated with packing tape. enjoy  Smiley

***edit:   i've gotten nothing but compliments on this ( Grin) and my teacher is paying me to make one for her for her sister for christmas, so since i made another one, here is a pic of it before it is all shaped to give you an idea of how to make it:

that is gorgeous! Cheesy

I thought of  a way to make the handles stronger:

lay a sheet of clear contact paper (the sticky plastic stuff you put on school books to protect them) on a table and place the cards face down onto it. Smiley on the other side of the cards, glue a thing sheet of cardboard to make them a little stronger, then glue some fabric over that to make a pretty lining for your bag. Smiley the handles should be strong with the contract as one layer, the card as another, the cardboard as another and fabric as another. Smiley not to mention the dried glue Tongue

i thought about cardboard when i was about halfway thru the process (isnt that always the truth?) but overall it is pretty strong...if i ever make another i know i'll make a few changes.

I still have some vintage greeting cards left, mostly Christmas ones.  PM me if you're interested in taking some.

That is really neat!
Have you considered putting in some sort of lining? There are many novelty type prints with "Vegas" style themes.
Congrats on getting a commission request!
