Hey! I just finished my sister's Christmas present Smiley  These are Jenny Hart's designs from the Country Cool packet, embroidered on the white tea towels from the Sublime Stitchery website.

I think she'll really like the cowgirl:

And I paired it with horseshoes:

I made her initials into a tattoo.  Also, I must remember not to work with the silky DMC floss, I really have trouble making it look nice.

You did a great job... keep on Stitchin'!  RAWK ON!

Human rights are for EVERYONE.  Did you know that Aung San Suu Kyi had been released from house arrest in Burma? Many other prisoners of conscience are still being detained.  Please research this topic... Amnesty International needs your help.

Wow, those look picture perfect. I love the rattle snake/cowgirl juxtaposition. Great work.

I like the snake at the bottom too Smiley  Were you using rayon floss?  I keep eyeing it up and wondering what perils it could bring to my stitching.

Going to Viva this year April 1-4!

Hey folks!  I'm glad you like the tea towels. I really had a blase with the cowgirl, she makes me laugh.  The majority of both towels are done with cotton DMC, but the earth tones in the rattlesnakes are done with linen embroidery floss (also DMC) because I didn't have earthy tones in cotton.  Also, one of the horseshoes is done in the silky DMC floss, which I think is rayon, but I'm not sure.  It was a pain to work with, though.  I like the linen, but it has broken on me once or twice. It has a nice luster to it, though.
Hope that helps!
