Falling Leaves Soap

My first batch of  HPOP (Oven Process) soap! I made the base soap from Mango Butter, Coconut Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Autumn Woods Fragrance (and of course, lye and water). Before I made the soap, I poured colored and scented MP soap onto backing sheets. I cut out leaf shapes in three different colors and set them aside. When the soap was finished cooking, and no longer caustic I added my fragrance and poured it into the log mold. Once it cooled down a bit, I stuck my little MP leaves in the top!

Those are really stunning, I've never seen anything like that before, great job!
On a silly note, I can't help wondering if the leaves would poke you when you used it. Yeah, that's just how my brain works.

LOL! I wondered the very same thing, but so far it's been pretty tame. The leaves actually bend over pretty easily, so when you get down to washing they don't interfere. Since I cut them very thin, they behave.
