I fianlly got over my fear and gave socks a try! I only have the one done so far, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

Here it is!:

The pattern is Spa Socks from the Spring '07 issue of knit.1, knit in Blue Sky Alpacas Organic cotton on us8's. Still needs a button, but I was too excited to wait to show it off!

Oh, and best of all? It fits (I added an extra 1/2 inch, but hey, it worked!)!!

Comments and criticisms welcome!

I'm in awe.  I have not braved socks, but you're inspiring!

Aww! Thanks! I was a bit scared, but I think that because they're knit with a worsted weight yarn and a US8, that they were a little less intimidating. I won't be able to wear them with shoes, but they'll be awesome as house socks!

It honestly wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be - I especially enjoyed turning the heel Smiley
