My friend and I made this (cookie) cake for another friend a few years ago. Nothing special but we had fun. It's a pirate but we used a witch pan.

so cute, and what a great idea mixing pink with cream cheese frosting for the skin tones. I never thought of that, and have had some weird skin tone colors before. Thanks!

the cream cheese frosting for me was tough to work with....but....that s only because he was coming home from work so the cake was still a little warm when I put it on...thats why he is a little gloppy =0)

but yes, the frosting itself has a little yellow tint to it so when I put the pink gel in, it came out perfect.....it would probably work with other frostings with the same yellow tint!.! glad I could be of a little bit of help =0D

Here's a cake of mine from Easter last year.

The bunnies are made of ready-roll icing and took AGES to do. The're made to look like the rabbits from the Wallace And Grommit movie Wink

Hope you guys like! Sure loved seeing all your work everyone Smiley

And they absolutely do! I knew what they were as soon as I saw the pic (before I even read what you had written). I don't do a lot of cake decorating...what is ready-roll icing?

Wow! Thanks everyone! Kiss

What is ready-roll icing?

It is pre-packaged fondant icing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fondant). Far easier then all that hub-bub messing around with boiling sugar! It's the consistancy of smooth dough, and you just colour it with food-colouring.
