For a while I have wanted to make something out of garbage bags .. just to see what it was like to work with bag-yarn. If u use the really cheap plastic grocery bags.. it kind of feels like straw.. and actually kind of looks like straw. I don't know how many bags I used for this purse.. but it was a lot.. a good way to recycle and make something useful.

that's pretty cool.  and it really does kind of look like straw.  actually at first i thought you'd crocheted with twine or something.

I love your bag and especially the flower on the outside. It's a lovely work of art!

Definitely cute!  My room mate tried to knit something with bags before, and if I remember correctly it ended in disaster, and flying knitting needles.  Again it looks wonderful!

They also make great little rugs, just make the "yarn" a little thicker.

This is cool, and the color of the bag(s) you used does make it kind of pretty. My supermarket has bright yellow bags--not as good...
