Hello everybody! My cousin has twin daughters (15 months old) and would like a halloween costume like this for them:

http://www.onestepahead.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=533968

I'm a little rusty with the sewing, and I'm not sure where to start with this. It doesn't look too hard- and I don't plan on making wings or a hat. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

maybe a simple a line dress for the base, than some petal shapped tulle sewn to the neck line, cover with a pointy velvety collar

eta the back doesn't have petals just the front.(pics wouldn't work for me a sec ago)

you can use soemthing like this for the base.

and if you search the shoe board there may be a turorial on the elf shoes, i dont remember if i saw it here or when i searched yahoo for patterns.

Thanks for the idea! Maybe a dark pink dress with light pink tulle on top.

I would think a simple a-line dress (with several layers) would do it for the main part and then add the green tulip part on top. The tricky part will be getting it on over the head (I'm sure you want to avoid a zipper on that! Grin) so maybe velcro over one shoulder which would be covered by the green part?
