Panels will include Melissa Alexander, new Executive Director of Black Rock Arts Foundation, Miranda Caroligne, local fashion firecracker and neophyte author, and Marie Kare, marketing genius behind indie craft sweetbox The Sampler (http://homeofthesampler.com)
In addition to the central discussion and panels there will be:
***"Hidden Histories" - An art exhibit that encourages the community to explore the various ways that space and place reveal themselves in San Francisco. The installation offers info on bicycle and self-guided tours and events in the city, to provide the public with a point of departure and the inspiration embark on an exploration of San Francisco's unique urban landscape.
***CELLspace information session - This valuable community resource is facing huge cutbacks and threats to its programming. In the midst of a discussion on how we can sustainably fund the arts, get breaking news straight from the underground on what's happening with this great, art, performance, and community workshop space.
