This is a costume that I did for our recent Costume Showcase for the costume course that I'm currently studying.
My teacher was inspired by Sophia Coppola's recent film "Marie Antoinette" and the scenes in which Marie and her ladies are hanging out in the Petit Trianon.

So this is my costume, our class did these in fabric and decorative variations, but the patterns were all the same. Some had straw hats and flowers. There are some professional photos which I haven't gotten from the photographer of my performer in the costume, but for now, you'll have to settle for me in the costume.
Excuse the back view, my boyfriend laced me in and didn't adjust the facing/ chemise properly and it looks yuck. When its done properly, it looks fine.

WOW!
That is stunning! You've done an incredibly professional looking job, and a lovely combination of colours and fabrics.

I've actually been wanting to do a dress like this for quite sometime now, but have been putting off because I want to use a pattern and I don't have one.

Did you use one, and if you did, can I have it Cheesy ?
