Superhooker in your quote at the bottom it says your having a "buy nothing year", does this mean no new craft supplies? I heard various degrees of buy nothing years, most of the ones I've heard about people doing centers around entertainment and extra expenses, like fancy coffee from startbucks etc.

Good luck to you. I don't think I could go a year without buying fabric, lol. They never have any in the thrift stores down here. However for everything else a year of thrifting would be fun.

Yay I'm so glad you and Chloe liked everything, dyingtolive! I just *happen* to work in a shop that sells the monkey keycovers, so I grabbed them as soon as I saw your wist. With the nativity scene, I was going with the "non-breakable" idea, since you said your first one broke.

Enjoy! And thanks for being an awesome partner!

What a super gallery!

Superhooker, I'm intrigued by the idea of 'buy nothing year', and have contemplated it myself on many occasions.  Good luck to you.

superhooker Buy nothing is a great idea. I am not sure how I would manage for a year, I recently did the no buying clothing for three months pledge, that worked really well and I will probably do it again soon. Keep us posted about how you get on

I'm not sure I could manage a year either. Maybe just a limit like $20 a quarter or something. I always find I need to run to get cording, or eyelets or something small. The big stuff I may be able to do but it would be a test of willpower.
