I love the stockings! I think that's a great idea for alternative gift wrapping. Where I live the tradition is that small gifts are put into shoes rather than stockings so I might have some fun making up some lace up shoes/boots from different fabrics for everyone 'back home' for their gifts:) There must be some patterns somewhere on line...

Sorry to have dropped off the face of the Earth.  My internet went spottier than usual and I ran away to visit some friends this weekend.  I have about a third of the work done on my boyfriend's quilt and I finally figured out how make my little brother's quilt, so it won't be so complecated.

The other two quilts are still percolating.  I think I know how to do the lighthouse (patchwork the shape and then applique it on to a backing) and the sailboats need to get done, as the baby shower is coming up real fast.  That pattern needs work though, as I wasn't happy with the way it came out.

My winter crafts have been put on hold till after Halloween!

I am planning on sewing two costumes before a costume party I'm attending on the 26th.  Plus, we are out of town THIS weekend, so it looks like these costumes will be worked on after work at night.  Smiley
