I've just started spinning and this is the first thing I've knitted with my handspun - love it!  This is really a great pattern for just a little bit of yarn, only used 7 grams for mine.

Pattern: "Molly's Headband" by Pam Allen from IK Summer 2006
Needles: Size 4
Mods: I skipped the I-cord ties and did simple 3-strand braids instead - fast and easy

I love it all.  Did you dye it too?

I just saw this on your blog but when I saw it on here too I thought I'd comment.  Smiley The yarn you made is really pretty, although I was wondering how you dyed it? The headband looks like a nice short project to do.

Very pretty.  I have yet to knit anything with my own handspun, mostly because it's hard to find good projects that only use a little bit of yarn.  This one is definitely going on my to-do list.  Great job on the yarn and the headband.

Thanks everyone! I cannot take credit for dying the fiber though- I picked up the hand-dyed roving at a fiber festival.  Good purples are so hard to find! For a newbie spinner though I was pleased I did remember to pay enough attention to pre-drafting and spinning from the same direction that the striping repeats in sequence.  Cheesy
