I hadn't knitting anything in almost 4 months and it finally took a 20 hour flight-- to inspire me to start knitting again.. and here is the purse that I recently finished.

It's a multi-colored wool yarn that I had bought a couple of years ago-  I did it in the entrelac stitch pattern.  The colors muted nicely when it felted and it looks like a pile of fall leaves- however, they are much brighter than what shows in the photo.  The handle is in soft shades of green that exactly match the greens in the purse.  (even though it doesn't look that way in the photo either!)  Sad

It's so hard to knit in the summer. That purse looks really cool though, it's too bad the colors aren't showing right.

What an awesome idea! I would have never thought of felting entrelac. It looks very cool.

It looks like the perfect size, and I love the handles and the way the entrelac blends together.  Great job!

Thanks everybody.  It's a nice medium-sized purse.  When I carry it- people are shocked that it's knitted (these are of course NON-knitters and don't understand the magic of felting) and tell me that it looks store bought.  Cheesy

I just explain it's like a sweater that you shrink acidently- but, I did it on purpose.  Cheesy
