So after at staring one picture that only shows a small portion of luna lovegood's skinny scarf in the last harry potter movie i think i've finally figured out how to make it. My version isn't gray because this is the yarn i had on hand i think i want to make it again except with skinnier yarn next time...well here it is lemme know what you think:

I know this picture is really blurry but it's the best i got of a close up:

PATTERN

Ok so here goes for a pattern. This is the first time i have written a pattern for others so if something doesn't make sense or something lemme know

Ch 10

Row 1: 2 tr (mini shell made) in 5th ch from hook, ch 2, skip next 2 ch, 2 tr in next ch, ch 1, skip next ch tr in last ch.

Row 2: Ch 4, 2 tr in middle of mini shell from previous row, ch 2, 2 tr in middle of next mini shell, ch 1 tr in 3 chain, turn.

Repeat row 2 until you have reached desired length.

Border:

Attach yarn any where along scarf i did it at one of the very end corners and Ch 4.  5 tr in next row along edge (one shell made) [I tried to make my shells tighter by crocheting them within the end stitches, don't really know how to explain that well] ch 2 skip one row and make shell in next row repeat until fully bordered

Hope that's understandable i had a hard time describing the border well.

Hooray!  I love skinny scarfs!

And this one is in my favorite color too.
I like this better than gray.  Has a little pop to it.  How long did it take you to make this?  Is it SUPER long?

any chance of a bit of a pattern? even just "this is what you do/repeat the whole way down"? it's lovely, by the way, especially the color.

I could try to write up a pattern, it's really not that difficult (really is a lot of repeat this) i'll put it up when it's written down more organized.
