That's the cabled capelet by Teva Durham. It was such a quick knit on size 19's, using all three of her new yarns. I highly recommend it! The pattern is free here although the chart is missing one symbol. The v with a dot on top is a purl front and back. I started during a workshop I took with Teva on Saturday and was done on Sunday.

My favorite thing about it is the fact that that is not a real cable. It's actually increases and decreases! There are also faux seams.

More info is on my blog, if you're interested.

Nice work!

The cable reminds of the awareness ribbons...ya know, pink for breast cancer, red for aids...

Wow, I love this! I think knitting on huge needles like that always produces some neat and funky stuff. I love the color you used for this!!

aw, thanks! your replies just made me so happy!  Grin

alexandraf, the color is really funky and kind of tweedy since I used 3 different yarns in three different colors. one yarn is a grey tape yarn, one is lavender wool and one is darker purple mohair with metallic running through it.

If all our life is but a dream, fantastic posing greed
Then we should feed our jewelry to the sea
For diamonds do appear to be
Just like broken glass to me.
