I've fallen in love with this dress but unfortunately I can't afford it. ($90 for a dress?! My mother would kill me!)
Does anyone have any recommendations for a pattern in a similar style? I was looking at the sketch on the listing, but I'm still not fully convinced it's as simple as it looks.

Thanks so much!

I can't recommend anything specific, but check out Butterick- they're bringing back several of their "vintage" patterns and you might find something similar. You might browse through sewingpatterns.com for ideas, too. The dress is super-cute!! Good luck Smiley

I think this Simplicity pattern is probably a good simulation.

And it actually does look pretty easy.

Thanks for the suggestion! I bought that pattern last week and can't wait to try it. I just have to find the time.

I have this pattern, too, and want to make the flared/sleeveless version out of some of the novelty quilting cottons they've got at Joann. I'm guessing it would probably be better to make it out of something with a leeeetle bit of stretch for that bodice, though. If you do make it, let me know how it goes!
