Dear Jasmom: I'm still a bit intimidated by that sweater. Right now I am toying with the idea of making the circular shrug. Would you be up for that as well? How was the easy shrug? Could you post a picture?
Let me know what you think........I def. want to do the sweater on the front at some point though...

Progress on Frou Frou:  I sewed the sleeves and sides early this morning - too excited to sleep.  The fit is weird.  Kind of bunchy around the shoulder (dart??) and sleeves.  I think it will fit okay for size once I put the trim around it.  I just have to find the time w/ a very busy husband and sick child!
Clawitter:  Here's a photo, but don't laugh!  I ended up sewing up the wrong sides and it came out more "squared".  I liked it so I decided to keep it this way. Shocked.  Here's a photo:

Circular shrug sounds good.  It will be fun to do a crochet along from the start w/ someone! Wink

that's really cute......cute than the one in the book i think.

good luck on finishing the frou frou. i hope it ends up wearable. the shoulder-bunching appears to be a common problem. if i get too fed up with the fit i might try to do a tuck. i will let you know if i do.

alright, circular shrug it is. i think i already got the yarn picked out. i spent an entire evening frogging another shrug of mine for it. no good yarn store here.....

hope your child isn't too sick...

Hurray, I got my frou frou done!   Tongue The size came out great but the fit is weird.  Shoulder and back are very bunchy!  Here's a photo, hopefully you can see it, the photo is dark.   (Pin is silver but came out pink?Huh)  I don't have a photo w/ me wearing it yet, maybe tomorrow I can get one taken.

Clawitter:  Sounds great, I just have to buy the yarn for it....

wow, that looks great. can't wait to see it on you and judge the fit. the bunching seems to be due to the pattern, as my significant other keeps commenting on it as well, asking me whether i can tuck.....

i just majorly splurged on yarn online last night, now i feel bad but hey it's ordered, so i have to do something with it to feel better right?  Wink

I love the power of rationalization.....

Thank you!  I have to buy a pin too.  How about Claire's Boutique, Marshalls or even Michaels  -
I probably won't start on the circular shrug until after thanksgiving.
How's yours coming along so far?

I've done the first two rows and I am not sure how wide the piece is to be as from the diagram I can't tell which side is which. Any idea how long the foundation row width would have to be???
