hello!, i've actually been on craftster for a cople of years now, but never really posted anything, i've always admired everyone elses work.  but i think ow its time for me to post up something, and at least something i can be satisfied with...

for my design class i decided to make a diddle bow guitar, but instead of carving out the body and making something from that or painting on it i decided to change it up and knit an octopus for the body.  i love the sea theme and especially old sea, so i originally was going to draw some old sea style tattoo flash type things and thought it out to be unoriginal and not so challenging.

keep in mind i am a very very very basic knitter, i know my knits and purls and i think i decrease and increase right, or at least i think i am doing it right but who knows.

so here is my functionable, playable .. diddle bow guitar... and for the tentacles they were individually made and then sewn on, to the whole of the body... i am not that taleneted to figure out how to completely knit a one piecer!

I've never heard of a "diddle bow guitar" but I really like the octopus!

Great work,

oh yeah i never knew what a diddle bow guitar was until then... the guitar roots back to old blues music.  it only has one string and you play it like "slide" guitar ... its pretty sweet!

I may not know much, but I know what point I want to get across!
