Using flickr to post pics isn't as straightforward as it ought to be, in my opinion.  You have to go to the "all sizes" page via the little buttons above the pic, then pic the picture that will fit within Craftster's format (under 500px wide) and scroll down and look under THAT pic, and you'll see a url with .jpg at the end.  Use that.  Any url that doesn't have .jpg at the end is NOT going to show up as an image using the image tags.

Okies... here is what you are doing versus what you need to do. Smiley

From one of your posts...
Code:
[img]http://flickr.com/photos/yellowsky/1092937097/[/img]

[img]http://flickr.com/photos/yellowsky/1092940347/[/img]

What you need to do is use a image address with .jpg on the end.  See how your image addresses don't have that?  You are trying to insert a page address rather than an precise image address. Smiley

If I go to your first link, http://flickr.com/photos/yellowsky/1092937097/, I can right click on your photo and see the actual image address for it is http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1313/1092937097_620d19ca58.jpg  THAT is the address you need to insert when trying to share the image.

Like so...
Code:
[img]http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1313/1092937097_620d19ca58.jpg[/img]

Using the code I just shared with you will produce this:

Just so folks know, posting photos from flickr just by grabbing the image url is against flickr's community guidelines.

Quote
Do link back to Flickr when you post your photos elsewhere.
The Flickr service makes it possible to post images hosted on Flickr to outside web sites. However, pages on other web sites that display images hosted on flickr.com must provide a link from each photo back to its photo page on Flickr.

Just something to keep in mind. It's trickier to do it the way that flickr wants you to do it, but it has the added benefit of allowing people to click on your photos to see the larger images/copyright info, etc.

What you should be doing is selecting option 1 from the download page. HOWEVER, this gives you html instead of bbcode [this forum uses the latter.] you can either convert yourself OR this page HTML2BBCODE will allow you to paste that info from flickr, and convert it into a way that you can just paste it and use it here.

So, in short, what you get from flickr:

Code:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/thebon/1353996950/" title="Photo Sharing">
<img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1124/1353996950_7d813fba17.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="Thread" /></a>

What you need to post here:

Code:
[url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/thebon/1353996950/" title=Photo Sharing]
[img]http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1124/1353996950_7d813fba17.jpg[/img][/url]

What you get:

silly question perhaps but how do I get this info from my flickr photos? Don't understand the term download you use - I can only see upload options in my flickr?Huh
