I can head down to the coffee shop if that makes it easier?

i could make it tonight around 7 pm at the coffee shop...the only thing that would deter me would be the rain/thunder that they are forecasting for this evening. if there is a total downpour i may back out....  Undecided

I'm sorry I couldn't make it.  I went to the chiropractor today and am still hobbling around in pain.  I've got another appointment Friday so hopefully by the weekend I'll be feeling better and walking upright like a decent homosapien.

Haven't finished reading all of the pages, but I'm looking for bead buddies. I design beaded jewelry
and teach jewelry making classes. If any of you want to get together and create, email me. It's always
better to socialize & work, plus as you know you can offer tips & learn new techniques in a group setting.

Beading could be fun.

Also, if anyone wants to sew, I've got a TON of pillowcases from work to turn into little dresses for africa! At least 30+ and there's only a handful working on them. We're meeting again on friday at Cumberland and 90, if anyone wants to join. If you have a sewing machine that would be more than helpful. Smiley

Hello all,

I have lived in Chicago for the past year now. I just moved to Lakeview, right by Boystown. I only know a handful of people and would love to get to know some crafty people. I like to try new crafts. I have started making jewelry. I draw, albeit not well, and I do collages and anything else on here that I like.

I'm a law student so most of my time is spent studying although I make sure to craft a little bit each week, to save my sanity. I look forward to hopefully meeting some of you.

Hi,  I'm pretty busy until mid October but I would like to start meeting up with crafty peeps again.  For those of you newer to the board, I like to try my hand at everything.  I'm currently working on an embroidery piece, a painting, a knitting project and I have some jewelry to put together.  Did I mention I have craft ADD?  Tongue  I work in Boystown so I spend a lot of time in Lakeview but I live in Avondale.  Hopefully we can set something up in the next few weeks.  It would be nice to meet at least once a month again.

Anyone want to try and get together at least once before the holiday season gets crazy?

I'd be cool with meeting up but I am new to the area, also about 45 min's north of you. Seems like everything is that far away...  however, I need to pick something up at Caravan Beads which looks like it's under 10 minutes away from you, so sometime before Dec 3rd would be great for me. I do mostly chainmail jewelry, beading and basic crochet.
