I made these earrings just because I had none that I felt really went with the t-shirt detailed below.
The beads were once gold and have worn in spots to a pale Statue of Liberty green.

The acorn is for scale (no quarters lying around in the back yard) and the cat hair is for, well, realism?

Two questions: What do you think of the use of worn out beads?
-and- Do you feel you have a sense of the craft from the photos?

I like the use of old beads, it totally matches too, and I do get a sense of the organic nature of the craft from the pics..

I think the acorns would make a cool pair of earrings too!

Un-fussy, beautiful because it's not trying too hard.  Like an elegant older woman who lets her hair be windblown and her cheeks be pink from joyful exertion.  Love those earrings!

Pretty cool...reminds me of kinetic sculpture.
The friend makes mobile sculptures by dropping a weight onto metal wire thats been wrapped around little shapes he cut out of heavy paper.
I always though it'd be rad if he made me some earrings.
