Oh that is just plain awesome! Great design perfect colors!

Proving I'm a total geek .... I LOVE the cart! A little bit of storage on each side, good heavy duty surface..... just perfect.

I do have one question.... do you have a strip cutter, you know a glass cutter that helps you cut uniform (ish) size strips of glass? I love the thin pieces you use as borders and I have been considering buying a glass cutter to help me make those.

Now... if you are cutting those strips with your nippers I am now standing on my chair giving you a standing ovation then jumping down on my knees doing the "I'm not worthy" move!

LOL! PinkyK  Cheesy

I wish I had a strip cutter, but alas all I have is the good old straight edge and a hand oil cutter. And those strips are not quite as uniform as they look.

However, last night when I made my trip to the glass shop I did purchase a cutter for shapes. Cheesy I will post a picture and name of it with my update today. Forgot the name, and it is in my work area.

Thank you sweets for the wonderful compliments. Smiley

I'm interested to know how you're going to grout it and with what kind of grout. I have a table I'm mosaic-ing but haven't figured out yet what to do when I get there. Keep posting your progress. It seems like you're coming along pretty quickly.
Most likely I will use an unsanded grout, because sanded will scratch the glass. As for the color, I'm thinking of doing a color wash rather than a colored grout. It will give me more options, and will be easier to deal with.

As for your question of how, I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. Do you not know how to grout, or are you asking if I will use the dry versus wet method?

Thank you all for your interest, and comments. Smiley

Well, I've never grouted anything glass and didn't know what type of grout would be best. or really even what all my options are. Your project is pretty similar to mine in terms of materials so I was curious how you were going to do it. As for this dry vs. wet stuff, i have no idea what you're talking about, LOL  Cheesy

No probs! I welcome questions. Smiley

For grouting glass it is best to use non-sanded so it won't scratch the glass. I've used sanded on project with glass, and it did okay. However, on this one I want to maintain the shine so non-sanded.

As for wet/dry grouting it is different things to different mosaic artists. For me the dry method is much prefered, because I think it is easier and less messy. If you want more specifics on this please let me know.

Guess what tomorrow is...GROUT DAY!!! Cheesy

Got all the glass in place, and here is the updated picture:

Grouting will be done tomorrow, but I may not get to the grout color wash till Friday.

C&C welcome and encouraged! Smiley

I know I keep saying it's awesome, but it REALLY is! Cheesy

How many hours would you say it took you to glue all of the pieces?
