My future MIL's favorite holiday is Halloween and she has most of her Halloween decorations out all year round.  Last year I cross-stitched a witch that smacked into a house and had it framed for her Christmas gift.  I need to start thinking about her gifts, B-day and Mother's Day and Christmas, and of course Halloween, already.  Any ideas?  I knit, crochet, embroider, x-stitch, decoupage, sew...I am not very good at drawing or painting...I have beautiful pictures in my head, but by the time they get to my fingertips, they pretty much suck.  I was thinking about knitting and felting some pumpkin/jack-o-lantern stuffies for her to put here and there, but you guys are such a wonderfully creative bunch, I thought I would ask for ideas.....Thanks.....You guys rock!!!

I think that you could make a great Halloween sweater or hat. A lot of the Halloween t-shirts and stuff that come out are really sort of cheap and crummy because we don't celebrate a Halloween "season" like Christmas. I love your stuffies idea too.

I am the same way I collect witches & pumpkins & they are displayed year round. Maybe make her a witch out of a goard? or a yard cauldron?

Make chair back covers or seat covers for just about any holiday of the year by adding a couple of inches or so for fabric measurements around the backs or seats of your chairs.  Leave one of the four sides open and hem to slip over the chair backs, or add elastic to edges, or corner ties for chair seats.  These make year round festive changes for your eating areas!

Something that I was given once as a Halloween gift was a very lovely black cat doll with a variety of costumey collars so I could change her year round. You could probably do something like that. Interactive gifts are always fun, especially if she likes to redecorate often!
