New guy made for Plush You. I could not decide if I wanted to make him out of fabric or yarn so I did both. More info on my blog.

CUTE!  Did you find it difficult to sew the fabric to the crocheted part (I am imagining stretch and shape distortion...)?

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Kitschbitch-
I prevented a lot of the problems you might expect by making a template of the foot pads first in crochet. Once I had the template I traced it on to freezer paper and ironed that to the fabric and then cutting the fabric with a half inch seem allowance. Then I lined up my template and poked holes with and awl (but you could problem use a needle) in each crochet stitch of the outside row or the crochet template. After I had the holes punched I used a yarn needle and some scrap blue yarn to make a running stitch to attach the fabric to the legs.  After the sewing is done I ripped off the freezer paper. If I ever do this process again I plan to better document it with photos and such.

polKadOt_iT-
I had to do a good bit of ripping back on this project because the yarn would fray from time to time. But the cotton lends itself so well to the nice crisp stitch definition I could not resist. I hope other people feel the same way as you and someone takes him home from the Plush You Show.

I love him!  I love so many little things about him, like his flappy ears, his dotted feet, how he has one blue swirly eye, his differently sized feet; he is just too cute!

Wait, where did those come from?  I swear I didn't go to the craft store, honest!

Let the baby crafting commence!  Cheesy
