I am working on a quilt for my DH's birthday this month. It is my first attempt at machine quilting or any quilting in general. Piecing it together was the easy part. When I put in the batting my troubles started.

-It was supposed to be a queen sized quilt, but for some reason I had more material than batting

-I have been stabbed by needles so much that I can double as a fountain when I drink water

- the needles sliced my wrist, the tip of my index finger, and the knuckle of my thumb,

I am now permanently a hunchback because I have leaned over my sewing machine all week.

and the quilt just sits there..........awai ting the finishing touches, malicious stiches staring at me saying.........."come one girlie........we're waiting for you".............

*goes off to battle the evil quilt!*

Thanks for sharing your tale! It made me smile.  I have a devil quilt myself that has been draped over a chair for a couple months now. The first part went so smoothly with the piecing, but the whole quilting has been a nightmare. It is so unweildy and dangerous too with the needles poking here, there and everywhere.  I want to finish, but it scares me Wink
