Hello all,

I'm getting ready to head off to Med school on the 15th and am staring to sort out all my essentials and am trying to customise everything.

I'm now onto cutlery and have a set which has plain, plastic white handles which I bought at the pound shop.

I've found that markers (sharpies) stay on the handles, but I have no idea what to draw/write on them!!!!

As well as sharpies, I have a lot of polymer clay.

Can anyone think of any designs etc. which would suit cutlery?!  Huh

So far, I have written "fork" on one of the spoon handles, and "<-- I'm with stupid" on one of of the knife handles.

Thank you all in advance for your help!!! Smiley

what's for dessert?
clean your plate
Mack the Knife
I'm the spoon the dish ran away with
it's good for you
peas and honey(You know the old song,"it keeps them on my knife")
wanna spoon?
aren't I a great cook?
kiss the cook(careful who you give this one to)
I should be spreading pate, not peanut butter!
Yea! Company!
this IS the good silver

Writing on your silverware;what a fun idea!

Old and cliche', but still makes me smile:
Life is short:
eat dessert first!
******

Nursery rhymes with food themes? frex:  Jack Spratt (on the fork maybe) and "could eat no fat" on the knife

Simple Simon/met a pieman

Polly put the kettle on/Sukey take it off again

Little Miss Muffet...eating her curds and whey

There are probably more---Up to you how much of the rhyme you use.

*****

Fork it over
Get the point? (On a knife!)
Just a spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down
(I'm trying to remember some really old song--probably from before I was born--about "spooning")

I think the song you're remembering is "Shine on harvest moon"
"I wanna spoooon....with my honey and croon love's tune."

This is making me wish I had cutlery to write on. I can just imagine the looks I'd get from everyone else in the house if I suggested it.I still may have to steal your idea someday!
