Hey everyone! I took a bookmaking class back in 2002 and just decided to make a few now to see if they'd be worth selling.  (Not a veiled attempt to sell - I haven't even opened the store yet!)  So this is my first real book in years, a kind of trial.  Just need that ever-popular craftster encouragement that my binding skills won't always suck. Smiley

I gave up on the inside design and just glued some little knots from the scrap paper in here:

Huzzah! I'm on my way to making decent books again. Thanks for looking!

I love it! Did you say that is paper?  It looks like embossing.  Did you cut the words out freehand?  I think you could definitely sell those.

Don't you just love that line of paper? I think it's really beautiful and I love what you did with it. I'm going to have to do the same!!

I took the "tapestry" one and made a lamp. It's here:

That's gorgeour! I love the typographic design on the cover, the second photo really got me in awe! (I study Graphic Design, and working with just text is just not one of my strongest points xD) Great work!

I agree with everyone above, it's simply gorgeous!  And as I'm a sucker for fairy tale esque references, I like that it says "far far away."  Great work and best of luck setting up your store!  I'm sure you'll do well!

I love threaded binding of all forms! And your book is so cute. The lettering and the swirls are really well done!

How exciting that you'll get to open a store. The rest of us craftsters can dare to dream thought, hum?
