My friend asked me to make her a little, round, ivory lace bag for her wedding. I finally finished last night...I hadn't ever worked with lace or satin before and I had some issues with it.

She wanted a really bright lining so this is what I picked. I sent her pictures this morning and she likes it! Phew. =) There are more pictures and details and stuff in my blog.

Super cute! I've never worked with lace before. Do you have troubles with it tearing while you're trying to sew it up, or is it pretty easy?

The only place it really gave me trouble was on the handles - I sewed them inside out and then turned them. The bottoms got kind of frayed, which is why the handles turned out shorter than I was planning. But it seemed okay with the rest of the bag.

Pretty and cute. is that a magnetic snap? If so I didn't know they came that small. Neat.

yup, it's a tiny magnetic snap. I got them from http://www.rnllee.com/, a 10 pack is fairly inexpensive. All the magnetic snaps I have are ridiculously strong, the little one works pretty well for the size of the bag.
