Hi all, I am trying to find a sewing pattern so i can make a stuffed Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Does anyone know where i can get a paper pattern of a dog with this body type? I can sort out the colouring and stuff myself, but i need the basic body.

http://www.akc.org/breeds/cavalier_king_charles_spaniel/index.cfm

I would appreciate any advice

Thankyou, Eve

Dont know if this helps. If you shorten the body and make it the right color it would be ok. The face is similar.

I am sock girl, myself, and have made sock dogs before - I have posted some sort of tutorial here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=192082.0

I would probably use fuzzy socks for this one and add the coloring with fuzzy felt or fabric.

Thanks gilowyn, i have seen this post and thought it was great!

I am actually looking for a life-like pattern - mum's dear old King Charles died last year and she misses him terribly, so i thought i might try to make her a stuffed replica. Complete down to his markings.

Thankyou for your help

Could you use this one and adapt it? http://dollmaker.nunodoll.com/dog/dachshund.html

If you lengthen the legs and shorten the snout, that might work...

thank you so much gilowyn, he's really cute but unfortunately only the size of a barbie's pet! i will look into it and see if he could be enlarged and still look like a king charles
