I just made these out of shrink plastic and color pencils. They make me laugh.

Prismacolor.  A new set is making it's way to my door right now. I can't wait! I have been using pencils that are too short to sharpen. And I only have about 15 colors. I'm so excited!

Love them!

I made a pendant and loved how it looked out of the oven. Bought a can of Krylon Crystal Clear to seal it, and I'm looking for tips. It seems to leave a less than smooth finish (think tiny bumps). I followed the directions on the can (10 - 12 inches above, thin coat after 3 minutes of shaking the can). Any ideas?

Also, the underside (smooth side) of my piece ended up sticking to the surface because of the spray, and now I have bits of stuff stuck to it. After it has dried more, I'm going to attempt to clean it off and if all else fails, paint it. How can I avoid these problems next time?

Cyros try giving it a few coats. Also try a different finish. I just started using Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel. It's pretty durable AND shiny. If  some of it oozes underneath I just sand it off after it's good and dry. You could always spray the back too if you don't like the sanded look. Hope that helps!

Thanks so much. I'm new to the site and so inspired by all these fab projects.

So, I'm getting the impression from reading these that one colors the sanded side in order to view everything from the smooth side. My smooth side kind of looks crappy compared to the side I've colored. The rough side looks so vibrant (but rough) and the smooth side has looks more distant because of the plastic layered on top of it, I think. Should I be doing anything different? Should I be doing anything to the smooth side at all?
