DD's birthday is Wednesday so Saturday we had her party.  She decided she wanted a Cinderella party so, of course, I had to make her a dress.  Then her royal highness was cranky at the beginning of the party & refused to let me put her hair up or wear the headband or necklace.  I was afraid she was going to refuse to wear the dress for a while.

Anyway, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  The petticoat never did poof quite as much as I wanted it to (& I think it's a little big in the waist - don't know how I missed that), but overall pretty good, especially since I pretty much made up the pattern as I went.

Last one I promise, I just have to show off the topsy-turvy doll I made her.

It turned out wonderful!!!  Bdays and parties and presents can all be a bit much for kids to handle sometimes- but I hope it all turned out well in the end.  I'm sure she'll look back on it fondly- she was adorable!

wow what a lucky lil girl!!!  that is absolutely beautiful!  too bad she was in a bad mood, but hey, she's a kid Smiley  My DD was always cranky at her bday parties up until this last one, her 5th.  And now she'll have the best dress up outfit to put on when she's playing!!  Great job on it!!

I didn't get to see her with the choker and head band.  She looks great!  I still think you did a great job!

The topsy turvy doll is adorable in person.  I hope she gets the hang of it! LOL!
