hello, this is my first post  Grin

and this is a bag i made today:

http://kaffrin.armouredminds.com/00bag.jpg

it's a very basic shape, just made out of some scrap i found while i was tidying my sewing table, which would otherwise have been headed for the bin. it left off the interfacing because i'm keeping it, and i hate stiffened bags.

it's lightweight denim, lined in printed polycotton, with a little star pocket, and a snap fastening. it doesn't have a strap yet, because i am still deciding whether to give it a denim strap, or a black webbing one.

the little label is the name of my company-to-be. it's a bit budget - just embroidered on bias binding and sewn on. i'm crap at label-making. maybe when i'm rich and famous i will be able to afford swanky labels. ha.

quite cute!

how did you embroider the star so perfectly? my stitching (machine or hand) is always so uneven!

i drew them on with a chalk pencil, followed the stitching on my machine, and then rubbed the chalk off.

Yes, you did a really good job on that.
If my stitching needs to be like ====, it never fails to come out like .';*_:`'.,:;- *.

Okay, some graphical hyperbole, but you catch my drift.

Again, good job!
