I recently made these:

I used wallpaper glue, ballons and yarn.

I think they'd look really nice in a christmas tree, but since I don't have one I'll probably just spray some glue on them, roll them in glitter and leave them on that pretty plate or hang them in the doorway to spread some lovely christmas feeling.

They're sooo easy, just like paiper maiche (sp?) but with yarn instead of paper...

1. Blow up balloon
2. Dip yarn in wallpaper paste and squeeze it a bit to get excess paste out
3. Roll yarn around ballon until satisfied
4. Wait til dry, then puncture balloon with something sharp

DONE!

Yeah, I was thinking of buying a huge balloon and make a lamp for my cealing (with an ordinary light bulb), but the idea of making something with christmas lights gets more and more appealing..
